Who we are

Castle St Townhouse, 27 Castle St, Liverpool L2 4TA, is responsible for the personal data described here. For any question about your data, email info@castlesttownhouse.co.uk or call 0151 363 7509.

Job applications

When you apply through our careers page we receive what you enter in the form and the CV you attach. We use it only to consider your application and contact you about it. The form sends your application to our inbox by email; the website itself does not store it. Our email delivery provider, Resend, handles it only to deliver that email. We keep applications for up to six months after the role is filled, then delete them, unless you ask us to keep yours on file for future roles. Our lawful basis is taking steps, at your request, before possibly entering into a contract with you.

Table bookings

Table bookings are made through ResDiary, our booking provider. When you book, the details you give (such as your name, contact details, party size and any notes) are used to manage your booking. ResDiary’s own privacy notice explains how it handles your data.

Emails and calls

If you email or call us, we use your details to reply and to handle your enquiry or booking.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are sold by Lightspeed on its own site, under its own privacy notice.

Visiting this website

Our website does not use analytics or advertising cookies, and it does not set cookies of its own. Like any website, our hosting and security providers (Cloudflare, and Laravel Forge on Hetzner servers) process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Some pages embed third-party content (the Google Maps view of the venue and the ResDiary booking widget); those providers may set their own cookies when it loads, under their own privacy notices.

Sharing your data

We never sell your data. We share it only with the providers named above, so they can provide their service to us, or where the law requires it. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, it is protected by safeguards approved under UK data protection law.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email info@castlesttownhouse.co.ukand we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
